Boot solenoid access help

Hello,

My Mk1 Tuscan S boot solenoid has failed (tested) and I need some advice on how to remove it myself. I have a replacement but I can't see how it can be taken out. The access hole covered by rubber is only enough to get a fumbling hand onto it but not enough to see what to do let alone get it out.

Any suggestions other than taking it to a dealer to get fixed?

You sure its not a fuse gone !!!,mine went the last weekend and i couldnt get in the boot,same fuse feeds radio interia light and boot light......

It's not the fuse...

Any ideas, ladies and gents? I haven't a clue!
