Hi All,
I've fairly recently become the owner of a 2001 Tuscan. I have been reading the site for a long time but never posted so thought it was about time I did!
I went along to the Sunday Service last weekend and may have seen some 1 or 2 of you there. I fell in love with the rather noisy black S on the way down the A21.I thought mine made a great noise! I put my windows down to listen to it even though my heater is blowing out nothing but freezing air (new stepper motor now on order!).
Quick question to put to you all. The car did something a little odd on sunday. It developed a stutter/misfire when crusing at low speeds/low revs (30-40 mph in third). It only did this for a couple of hundred yards then seemed to go away and was fine for the rest of the day (circa 250 miles). It's just had a 12k service 2 weeks ago, my guess was possible water ingress where the cam insert might not have sealed quite right. I washed the car before the day before so thought this might be an option. The doubt I have about this is that the stutter didn't happen until a few miles into the journey. I had just stopped to get some fuel at BP. Maybe it was a protest against the non use of V-Power
I'm going to take a look at the weekend and re-seal it just in case. Any other ideas while I'm there?
I will be going to lots of meets in the future so hope to meet some of you there.

This has happened to me after washing my car.
The spark plug hole for the cylinder nearest the windscreen gets easily full of water where the HT lead fits on. It clears itself due to the water evapourating on a good run.
I now try not to get too much water on the engine when washing. Not easy, i know.

probably was water if it has totally gone away, otherwise the HT leads die quickly due to heat, and you will get low rpm missing/stuttering, but not major. I change mine every service.
I have this prob with my car sometimes, seems to hesitate at low revs, prob get the HT leads done at next service too, due this spring.Retard question, what does HT stand for? I've always known them as ignition leads.
