Difficult to select Reverse

I've now owned my tuscan for over a year, and carry out proper precedure for selecting reverse, as in going into 5th then back to reverse. But recently reverse seems to be getting harder to select, and it clunks into gear. Any one with any ideas? or with the same problem. All other gears are okay.

This is the first sign of a failing clutch as it's starting to drag. It'll either be the slave cylinder seals failing and/or the diaphram spring fingers breaking off. It's a common failure point and it'll only get worse I'm afraid.

Fortunately there are fixes in the form of uprated clutches (Raceproved Clutch) but it's a gearbox off job to change the clutch.

Are these raceproven clutches turning out to be the favourable choice in clutch replacement or just trying something new?

I've got one fitted to my car and it's excellent. Much better than the original and feels much smoother.

Yes the clutch is (or slave cylinder) is on the way out, it will fail within the next couple of thousand miles if lucky, how many miles have you done as the clutch should last for about 20 k.

About a grand to have replaced by good indy...

I had a similar problem with mine but it was a quick fix. The gear lever had moved and would not turn enough to find the reverse selection point (sorry not technically minded). Try twisting the gear lever as you select reverse I think mine needed to go clockwise. Worth a try before new clutch.
