Hi guys, jus been sorting out my insurance for the next year and got me thinking.

With regards to rebuilds etc.

Most of the companies offering rebuilds from what i gather replace parts with higher grade materials as i understand for reliability purposes etc. etc.

Basically my question is how does this reflect on insurance is it simply a repair so you would not need to declare it or would it count as a modification.

Cheers

its a repair, doesnt increase performance or desirability of the car to a thief, nor are they going to get nicked like a set of wheels might (actually so scumbags still steal wheels?)

same way you can put a 3rd party manufacturers brakepads on from quickfit and not have to declare it.

ETA any inspector is never going to spot engine components anyway!
