Hi guys,

After almost 10 years of dreaming, the day is almost finally here... picking up the new baby on Saturday from the TVR Centre in Barnet! The guys there have been great and really helped me out over the past few months. I'd definitely recommend the place.

2004 Reflex green Tuscan S, carbon cans, aftermarket alloys, with light grey interior and silver switches. CAN'T WAIT! There's a pic on my profile if anyone is interested. Also, if anyone knows the previous owner, it'd be great to hear from him - he had the car advertised in classifieds for a while.

I don't think I'm gonna be able to sleep on Friday night... why's it only Thursday?! Fingers crossed the weather will hold out at least for a couple of hours with no rain on Saturday morning!

I'll let you know how I get on after day 1! smile

J

Welcome to the gang

Take it easy for a while, get to know the beast first.

When I first got mine everyone thought I was the Joker out of Batman - still can't get the smile off my face biggrin

Cheers

Cheers guys!

I know, I'm gonna be driving like a grandpa for the first couple of weeks (days biggrin).. I lost my 1st Chim to an overzealous right foot and wet roads, so not taking any chances with the Tuscan!

Really can't wait! Time to start booking the hotels for a Euro trip! smile

Super looking car, The "s" stands for "Sex" on wheels. But I am a little biased. Enjoy it and watch the loud pedal at first.

Enjoy

LOL biggrin

One question - how much clearance do you get under the front splitter? Mine's got a colour matched one that'll probably be expensive to replace if it gets smashed off on all the fooking speedbumps around here!

Cheers,

Hi, Just measured the ground clearance on mine at 108mm. Full width speed bumps aren't too bad but I'm scared of those silly 'blobs' they use on some roads.

Car looks well, you'll not sleep tomorrow nightsleep Hope it's fine on Saturday for you.

Thanks for checking - 108mm... wow, that's low.. it's gonna get destroyed! The bumps around here are huge and where the road hasn't been maintained very well there's small ditches either side of the bumps frown Noo!

Next question - how tough is the splitter!? smile

Thanks,
J

It's made from fibre glass, so wont take a front impact well. Get replacement ones from Fiberon at circa £100.

Bought it as a weekend car and wasn't going to be taking it to work....... yeah right, it's been to work more times than the day to day car smilesmilesmile .

Hey guys (and the new girl! smile)

Sorry for no update but this is the first time I've been back on for a few days.

Unfortunately there was a bit of problem with the display pod which the TVR Centre (now Trimar) are very kindly sorting out before they hand her over, so I didn't get to pick her up Saturday! weeping

Once they get the repaired pod back it should be any day, fingers crossed! CAN'T WAIT!!

Edited to say - what's the bet we're gonna have CRAPPY weather over the Easter weekend?
