Anderson connector under car

Does anyone know where I can get the whole socket inc cables. Also How is it secured in place.

you can get them on e-bay. Just type in TVR Tuscan and you will find at least a couple of examples.

be careful of ebay ones, as anderson connectors can be slightly different!

Apologies my first post is misleading -

I already have the jump leads, I actually need the socket under the car as mine was never connected as I found out yesterday whilst trying to jump start it.

The live was not connected it was just dangling in mid air.

Try Bell Hill or Douglas Valley Breakers, get one of a scrapped car. Bell Hill have a shop on e-bay.

I was under the impression that the "socket" and the "plug" are actually the same...i.e. any two halves will go together.

The connector is a fairly standard item. Any 1/2 decent motor electrical shop should have them in and be able to conect up to jump leads or tails as shown above. Probably easier just to buy the proper thing tho unless stupid price.

£3! that'll teach me for supporting the local trades, i paid £10. buy the thickest wire you can, i used thin wire (as it was only a 5amp charger) and it was a pain in the ### to solder, ended up imersing it in a lake of solder and it stuck to the connector.
