The old trusty Tuscan with a mighty 50000+ miles on the clock ..spent some time today under the watch full eye of my local MOT station.

It passed ..one or two marks on the advice sheet ..blah blah etc

Partly worn drop link was one.

Question here is do I go with the old crap Tiv stuff or go up market to those SHeath thingies.

Anyone here fitted them Plus is the extra cost worth while?

Ta in advance

Yes 100% worth the money. Changed mine 42k on car. Feels totally different on cornering. So much smoother and more progressive, has inspired alot more confidence, and I thought mine was pretty well set up anyway.

Alex can you describe the difference they make, or is it one of those 'it just feels better' moments. Are they more progressive in corners or just more controlled?

As yours is a red rose with the bigger discs anyway I would swap the pads if they are still the standard compound. DS2500s are much better.

Already got them! smile just finished bedding them in!

I'll have to get out and check the disc sizes, the only evidence I have that it's a genuine factory spec red-rose is kind of annecdotal, James Ager{sp} report says its a red rose and the TVR power rebuild was a "red rose" spec rebuild.

I had a set fitted front and back and I do notice the difference, even with the tired dampers/springs I have on. There's not so much "wallow" into the corners, just feels sharper and firmer.

Worth doing, I reckon

Its hard to describe, i would say less delay between turn in on the corner and the suspension reacting to the body roll which now feels to be less. The wheels seem to be more planted on the road over rough b roads. Hard to say but im sure if i put the old stuff back on now having been on the new drop links a month it would feel very different.

Having only ever driven my Tuscan, never another Tiv then its hard to say what others are like, but I would be interested.

Thanks for all the replies chaps.

I've ordered a TIV special from my local indy which I will fit myself

I really can't be arsed with all this up grade stuff TBH the car has served me well over the last

2 years or so

Still goes like stink and handles OK with me behind the wheel hehe

Saying that I will also need before to long a set of shocks on the rear end.

I will go for anyone who I can do a deal with Avo's etc then fit them..Got a mate who can set up the

four corner's etc.. job done.

Now if if I was a track day super star I would have to think again..

But I'm not unfortunately smile

Just ordered my self a set of these so I'll hopefully have some feedback on them shortly. Not sure when I'll get time to fit them as yet! Any estimate as to how long they take to put on? smile

An hour is typical. Main job is getting the old ones off!
