Good Afternoon All!

Im new on here so if this has already been posted apologies in advance.

I have a Tuscan 2002 SP 6.

Whilst I have changed the suspension, had a few minor things fixed there is a slight problem I have which is driving me mad and was hoping for advice on.

This dam squeeking/ rattling noise coming from my drivers door when I go over any bump. When I purchased the car a month or so ago the problem was not apparant but over the last week it has been getting loud and very annoying. It seems to be caused from the panel on the inside of the door but I was wondering if anyone else had suffered or was suffering this unbearable problem and new of a quick fix to sort it out!

Comments appreciated

Hi and welcome Mossie,

Does the door pop open on its own as you would expect? Or does it stick a little and then you have to pull it? As Tovie has said, you might need to take the door card off (3 allen key bolts in the floor of the door pocket) but it could be that the card has slipped down a little from its "compression-fit" into the underside of the silver trim at the top. My passenger door did this so I wedged some thin strips of hard plastic underneath the card to raise it a little - anything the right size/shape will do. This took the bottom of the door-card away from the door frame a little - it might be this that is causing the squeak.

Just a thought,

Andy

Thanks for the comments chaps, the drivers door can be a little sticky on occassions from both the inside switch by the stereo and the outside switch under the mirror and I wonder if this has any bearing on it?

Also the other day something weird happened.... the passenger door window does not go up any more when it closes. When the door is shut I now have to either use the inside control to wind up or from the outside use the alarm to raise the window.... very strange

But apart from that and the few quid ive spent on it getting it as perfect as I can im very happy. 'the power is fantastic, the engine runs sweetly, and not much is quicker or sounds as good'

Although I will say if you ask my misses for her opinion on it she will answer "its noisey" lol
