Mk1 Tuscan Interior - Whats leather and whats plastic??
Discussion
I'm slowing attempting to neaten up the interior of my Tuscan.
About to start the big interior clean but am unsure what to use.
Was going to use decent leather cleaner/conditioner on seats and console etc but looking at it they seem to be plastic not leather!!
Am I wrong? What bits are actually leather? Any recommendations for cleaning plastic bits?
Piccy of my interior....

leather cleaner will probably work just as well on the plastic.
If you have a full leather interior, every thing that looks like leather should be.
you can tell the difference (in black interiors any way) by the grain. the plastic has elephants bum grain to it, the leather they used has hardly any grain and is quite smooth.... ironically the leather looks more like plastic in my opinion... i was suprised when some one told me my car had a full leather interior.
retrimming isn;t that expensive, if you speak to HarryP he has had most of his plastic retrimmed in leather.

My interior is in OK nick - just needs a good clean. When you say 'full leather interior' are you saying that there were other options? Am I to assume that my seats are actually leather?
When you look at the back of the leather its foam backed - I thought that was a sure sign of 'leather look' plastic.
Hmmm......might just treat it all as leather - I'm assuming that plastic stuff just won't absorb anything?
Give this stuff... a try.
I'm not kidding. Ignore the chavvy advert and the fact you get it from Woolworths...
It works really well on light coloured TVR interiors!

After searching on detailingworld.co.uk this is the stuff they recommended - its in the post.
I was trying to remove some of the TVR glue excess yesterday - no easy feat - I have a horrible feeling I may have used too strong a solution (nail varnish stuff) and marked the fake leather......
When you start taking these cars apart its a bit worrying how poorly they were trimmed - lots of mine has been cut so small it barely is enough to glue!
