Tuscan 2 Battery Change

Hi all, i've recenlty bought an 05 Tuscan 2 (yay). I think the battery has died (not holding charge, AA seem to think the alternator is OK). Can anyone give me an indication on how difficult it is to change the battery, do i really need to take the front wheel off and will it mess up the alarm and immobiliser? If necessary i'll take it to a dealer but i dont fancy paying 90 bob an hour plus VAT if it's something i can get the AA to do! I'm a bit of a mechanical half wit so don't hold back in giving what seems like obvious tips. Thanks all, John

yes, you do have to remove the wheel to get at the battery, its an easy job. have the keys by your side! very important! take the cover off, locate the bolt holding the battery securing bracket on, remove it. then remove the positive lead, then negative lead, then yank out the battery. put in the new one, fit the negative lead, then locate the positive leadonto the terminal, you have 30 seconds to push the alarm fob button, this pairs it to the system. fit everything back, make sure its all tight, job done!
