I've been on the look out for a tuscan for a while now, seen one on sale from a specialist. Its a 2000 X plate, in nice condition with 58k on the clock. Its got a file of receipts thats inches thick, including 2 rebuilds. I could get it between 12-12.5k.
What do you guys think? Is this a deal or would I be better paying more and getting something lower miles, newer with a newer rebuild etc...

If the latest rebuild was after Jan 2003 and done by TVR Power, then for my money this could be a good buy.
However, other questions to ask:-
Has the suspension been changed to adjustable shocks?
Has the clutch been replaced? When?
When were the valve clearances last adjusted? Who by?
Has the pod LCD screen been replaced?
All of the above commonly need money spent on them. IMHO though, an early Tuscan, with a recent rebuild and a solid history represents genuine value for money.
I would strongly advise not to waste money on a warranty, but instead, have a 5k fighting fund in case she does end up requiring a 3rd rebuild!
Warranties tend not to pay out on the S6 engine, even with low mileage, due to it being classed as 'wear and tear'. HTH.

I have been studying the Tuscan market for a while and it seems a decent enough deal from a dealer as long as some warranty is provided or they will fix niggles?
There have been lower mileage vehicles (25-30K miles) on ebay for similar money.
IMHO the colour would have to suit and the interior condition would have to be good.
