Strange event today with oil - can anyone shed some light

Had a strange event today. Had been driving the TIV for an hour, stopped at service station for fuel 
, after starting, I had low pressure warning come up (was about 18 PSI fluctuating - (not completely sure due to POD doing Matrix tricks), Then the oil light came on. Stoppped, went and bought some oild from service station and then checked levels. They were all ok. Turned on again and light still on - feared worse and considered recovery as did not know how best to proceed (only had car 4 days!) Waited 10 minutes and thought I would retry. Problem had gone away. Travelled home. When matrix let me see pressure fluctuated between 30-44psi. ALl seems ok.
Can anyone offer any advice or assistance. Any one had a similar event?
What should all of the pressures be when normal?
Where can I find the error code listing?

T2 has different electrickery to the t1 (which I have) but the oil pressure is horribly low when idling on all S6 engines when its hot (10-15psi on mine), anyone know if the "low oil" alarm is related to the level of oil or the pressure on a t2?
I'd have said if you are maintaining a "healthy" oil pressure whilst driving you should be ok.
if you checked the oil level when it was warm and all seemed ok its more than likely a dicky sensor than anything else.
caveat to add, someone more knowledgeable than me will be along any minutes....

An indicated 10 - 15 psi is normal for a Speed 6 engine, the oil pressure warning light indicates on low pressure against engine speed i.e the higher the engine speed the higher the pressure need to be to keep the warning lamp off.
Agree with other post it could be the pressure sender or the electrical connection to it, best to get it checked out.

Very difficult question to answer. It depends on what oil is being used (when cold) How your OPS is working they all seem to be calibrated differently etc etc.
The SP6 (as standard) is usually low oil pressured engine as the tolerances when they were made at TVR or the " Specialist SP6 engine builders" are low unless you have the higher spec-ed engine like an S or RR which should be more of a blue print (assembled to a set of finer tolerances}. I have just had a new engine fitted (not from a TVR specialist) and built to a very high standard and tolerance with a steel crank and the rest of the bits purchased only from the best manufacturer possible and the oil pressure at normal running temperature is 30lb at idle (850rpm) and 80lb at (7000rpm).
As you can see oil pressure really depends on loads of factors. A low oil pressured engine may be not able to hold pressure due to sloppy tolerances or the pumps may not be copping to well or even a pipe being crushed somewhere but usually its mainly due to the OPS giving false readings.
