Reversing Light
Discussion
I've lost count now of the number of times I've had to bend the switch across so that when reverse is selected, the gear stick makes contact with it. I'm now losing patience with the
thing and wondered if anyone had come up with a more permanent solution? Any help/comments much appreciated!

Only TVR could have designed it, they couldn't use the proper output from the gearbox 'cos is too near the exhausts and would have melted any wiring, so I'm informed. I always get my "experts" to do it, but they had to take the centre console out to get at it properly. You can get at it from underneath if the car is on ramps.

hook thingy seems to be firmly fixed to the gear lever so I don't think it's the grub screw. Having to bend the switch across every time is not going to be an option - repeated removal of the centre consul is not going to be any good for it or the various electrical connections which run through it (heater, windows, cigarette lighter) so I'm looking at a more permanent fix. Maybe a bit of re-engineering (not that I'm an engineer)!

Mine doesn't work either but to be honest it hasn't bothered me enough to find the problem or try and fix it!
Same problem here. What about MOT time? I have yet to trace the problem but do the switches have a habit of failing?Gassing Station | Tuscan | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
