new tuscan today
Discussion
Only now after buying my second TVR do i realize what i am buying.I have looked over the car briefly, and found only very minor niggles on the paint and interior which will be sorted at the 1000 mile service.
I must say the Tuscan has been put together a lot better than the Chimaera which took ten days to put right.

Yep I went for the chim for 8-ish months before going head first into new Tuscan ownership...IMHO I'm glad I did it that way....I've done 4,500 miles to date and it just gets better every day.
Mind you...I'm still getting used to all the attention the car brings with it
I do miss the sound of the V8 chim but the Tuscan is such a different car.

I had my chimaera for five years and it only let me down twice (fuel pump and fifth gear)
After reading the threads on this board i have been a little worried about the speed six engine but Ian, heath and a friend in developement at the factory have advised me that the engine is sorted now. Only time will tell.I don't do more than 5000 miles a year and have a backup car if something goes wrong.I live 3 miles from the factory so it's easy to take it back, but after having driven it for only one day i don't care i love it,it's worth any agro.

Nearly three years of ownership, my first sports car, lots of past problems which we will not go into and yes still WOW WOW WOW WOW. Sunday supplement, Damon Hill testing the Porker GT2, 0.1 sec quicker than the Tuscan, but 76K more expensive!! and in my opinion not exactly jaw dropping,! ENJOY!

My paint and trim are very similar to ed hasler.I liked the look of his after seeing his posted pictures (it looked mean).I must get a digital camera to post my own pictures.
regarding the condition of the car it seems ok for TVR standards. The factory know i am very fussy and all niggles will be put right at 1000 mile service. There are some paint imperfections and some small marks on the centre consol, also one wheel slightly marked but nothing drastic. It drives very well but i have only had it one day (fingers crossed).
