Heater Matrix

Anyone know how to remove the 2 air boxes on the pasenger side of the engine bay that house the heater matrix and the cold air intake ?

I tried undoing the 4 screws on the base of each one but they seem to be well fixed to the 3" pipe that runs through the bulkhead into the cabin. Gave them a pull and a wiggle but they dont want to budge.

the o/s one contains the heater matrix. I understand that once you undo the screws you should be able to pull it out. I might be doing this tomorrow as I need to remove it to see if my heater stepper motor is working correctly.

Cheers ! Mine makes a very annoying clonk-clonk-clonk as the vane move around and I want to see why
