The drivers window refuses to shut either with the button or the alarm. I have a fault warning on the dash also: "Warning" Door Open.
I took the car back to the Dealer 2 weeks ago for the same problem, but its happened again.
Anyone had a similar issue, or knows of a way of getting the window shut until I can get the Dealer to look at it again?
Cheers BB

Hi mate
My door error was just the metal strip needed bending so it made contact with the lock. If you unscrew the chrome guard you will be able to see the micro switch with the strip. I just used a screw driver to push to lock closed to see if it made contact.
As for the window try swapping the door control units around (they are located under the centre tunnel) if it still dosnt work it could be a bad connection in the door where the wires double back. Now you got the good thing of the window being stuck up so you can get at the wires, mine is stuck down and the glass covers the wires

Thanks All.
Going to have a look tonight.
I will compare the passenger door mechanism (which is ok) to the drivers door to see whats what.
Thanks again. BB
I checked it over, and both of the door locks had worked loose. The driver door one was worst, and therefore it wasnt locking correctly. Going to have a look tonight.

I tightened up the fasteners on the door lock, and the door now shuts correctly, the 'door open' error code has gone, and the window works correctly.
Thanks for everyones help.

Hi Chibs. Mine wasn’t the micro switch, it was the door lock itself that had come loose, and therefore the door wasn’t fully engaged resulting in the 'Door Open Warning'. All it needed was nipping up with and allen key. So it may just be worth checking the door lock? I hope this helps.Gassing Station | Tuscan | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
