Last weekend I took the car on a 1000 mile round trip to the Highlands and back. Fantastic area to have some fun. Car didn't miss a beat etc (but then I wasn't expecting it to of course). Some t**t stole my dust caps though
But I couldn't believe that I averaged 29 mpg on the motorway. Let's just say I wasn't pussying about either.....Great car, great engine.

Hi Andy,
So glad you enjoyed it, I had a similar trip 3 years ago in September and the weather was fantastic 29 degrees, roof of all of the time. The only drawback was the flying pirahna's that appeared from nowhere as I was videoing at Torridon, I didn't see the buggers as I was so engrosed in filming.
How is the MK2? I have driven one and also a Sagaris, the Tuscan was so smooth compared to mine and obviously much much more quality in the finish.
So hard to take in that, as soon as TVR got the product right it was too late.
Best regards,
James.

I'm not sure what MPG I got because I can't be bothered working it out to be honest but I just picked my car up in in Blackpool after it's service then drove to Newcastle then to Perth and only used £60 with the display telling me I still had 20 litres left in the tank. Only had 3 segments left on the gauge though so probably a little more accurate.

Mk2 is very good - in my experience better component quality (e.g. no leaking oil pressure sensors, failing speedo sensors) and a much better fit of damper. The front end geo is tuned to be less pointy - however it's still very sharp compared with most other cars. The air con works a bit better as well. Mr S., whatever the situation, did improve on the quality of the cars.So glad you enjoyed it, I had a similar trip 3 years ago in September and the weather was fantastic 29 degrees, roof of all of the time.
