Hi All
I appologise in advance for a long post. Please read on.
I've owned my 2003 Tuscan S for just over a year now and had no problems at all (apart from the usual niggles.. plenty of super glue etc). The car in my ownership has always been warmed up properly and has never seen a drop of rain.. now here's the painful bit, just been out in the car this morning warmed her up as usual and all was well, as i was driving along it started to rain, then a couple of minutes later i could hear an alarming tapping noise (quiet loud)coming from the engine which got louder with revs, i parked her up for about 5 minutes and then returned started her up and the noise was still there but slightly quieter, by this time the rain had stopped and as i was driving home it seemed to get quieter still(but not normal). I'm confused, has this kind of thing happened to anyone else, am i kidding myself that a noise like that could be caused by something getting wet, or does it sound like my engine could be on its way out?
My wallet is twitching, please advise.

I am so sorry to bring you bad news, BUT i dont think it was moaning just because it got a bit wet, this noise (tapping)happened to me on my old 2002s, and yes it needed a rebuild (i hope yours dont) but get it to the garage asap and cross your fingers, Best of luck and please let us know how you get on.......
Took her out again this morning, to see how loud the noise was today and to my complete amazement the sound has gone, purring like a kitten. I'm even more confused than i was before, and sorry if this sounds stupid but (not being very technicaly gifted) could it possibly have been something to do with the clutch as the car is still on its first one since new, but even that seems fine. Still a bit worried but i think i'll just keep everything crossed.
Thanks
