Apart from being one of the weirder posts I’ve read on Piston heads it’s also a clever one. That noise sounds very much like a vibration from a loose something or other. It could be any number of bolt on bits that maybe loose. Pop the bonnet and have a tap and prod at anything that is fixed to anything. If the noise fades when hot it maybe exhaust, the system grows lots when hot, mine lengthens up to 10mm when hot.

It may be either one of the trays under the engine or gearbox. It could be a loose bolt and the washers are vibrating......search and destroy.

Soz I cant be more accurate but it really could be anything.

It's a backfire on the over run and one of the joys of the Speed 6 sound. They all do it, moreso when cold and it's running rich. It's perfectly normal and due to the exhaust valve timing overlap.

Put some Tesco 99 in it and it'll do it more. smile
