Riding A Bronco.

Hello Again,
I have just returned from my holiday after buying a 2001 Speed 6. I dreamed about driving it all the time i was away, because I only picked it up a few days before I went, and never had any time to go for a good run out.
Yesterday was the day, so I slowly warmed the oil and headed out to the country lanes of Northumberland. The oil temperature hit 65 degrees and I was away, foot to the floor.
Foooooooooook. It was like riding a bronco. Every bump I hit threw the car every which way, and when you hit one with only one hand on the wheel (for gear changing purposes only, and not whilst trying to further heighten my pleasure, you understand),you are almost in the lap of the Gods.
The car is a 2001, the shocks are not leaking, but it did only cover 2500 miles in the past 5 years.
Is this normal back road behavior for a Tuscan when being driven hard, or do I need new shocks and springs?

P.S. I have been told that Gaz adjustable shocks are good for road and track, which is what I intend to use the car for. Any comments?
PPS. I am now a paid up member of the TVR club, and look forward to meeting some of you in the not too distant future.

Oh they all do that sir its half the fun

When you do your shocks, get the geometry set up it makes a heck of difference.

And congrats, just be careful for a bit.

Yours doesn't Dean, or at least I hope not!

I don't think it's fun, I nearly poohed my pants in a convertable Tuscan this morning. Hopefully a nicer drive on the way back.
