Has anybody managed to fit a higher capacity battery to a Tuscan?

Mine ('02 S) has its original TVR branded Yuasa 069/4, 630A. This now seems to be on its last legs & I want to replace it with the biggest possible.

I'm aware of the Varta 096R, 680A.

Take care, some of the Tuscan fire problems way well be down to replacement batteries shorting on chassis. The exhaust is also close and it relies on a rubber/foam insulation strip.

I think this chap means bigger in "amp hour" and not size of the battery, same size amp would be ok.

Mine was almost the same ie almost dead and a type 069 Yuasa but seemed to be 570cca rating
Just managed to fit a type 086 which is 72ah but 680cca rated
Got it from a local car spares place for about £70
It needed a bit of trimming around the bottom flangy bits to make
it fit and a new bracket. I also decided to trim the upper engine mount
bolt end by about 5mm to make it a little easier to slot in
Works a treat and now starts better than new
