Considering having de-catted
Discussion
Have a Tuscan MK2, which I am considering having de-catted. But concerned it will be too loud. I have standard cans on, but have had them sleeved. Is there anyone in the South East (I am in Kent) that I could meet up with and have a listen to there’s, if it has been de-catted.
Any help much appreciated.

Just about to decat mine after buying a pair from NTEL. Will see how loud it is with standard cans (Not Sleeved)then sleeve if not loud enough.
Hi, Was down in Brighton on the weekend and one of the chaps (Simon)had a Blue T350 with NTEL pipes. God was it LOUD, but brillant. Thats what has got me interested. Will be interested to see how you get on?
cheers

Standard cans with decats are a bit too tame for most peolpes liking. Try different lengths of sleeve. I think you will find that, rather than fully sleeving, if you just put a 2/3 or 3/4 sleeve in there it will be just right. Have they got to you yet Steve?

NTEL,
At work at the mo, might have a nice surprise when I get home. I've got plenty of scope as da_murphster has got some CCC's so we are going to experiment with different set-ups until I find one loud enough to compete with a 4.5 Cerb (Not holding my breath on that one though)

Would be very interested on the result. Please let me know when you have carried this out. I am up in the North West next week and could also drop over your way to see the result if that would be ok?
Cheers
Paul
You can hear the difference between standard and de-catted/CCC's here...
The standard Tuscan starts its run @ 6:50, the modded one (mine
) straight afterwards @ 8:00.
...if you want to go the whole hog with de-cat and not much else; ie - straight through from de-cat back - no silencing at all - there's a quite noisy T350 @ 1:55...

My Tuscan MK2 is temporally decatted and it is to loud for track days; > 95 db above 5000 rpm.
Mines decatted and 113 db static @4000 rpm ,a real problem for most track days, now and again there is a noisy day at certain tracks Andy
