Mk 1 Tuscan S boot change....Straight swap for MK2?

Whilst at Brit car the other weekend I noticed on a couple of Tuscans that the boot was far more aesthetically pleasing than the one I have on my "S". My one with its spoiler looks a bit of an afterthought and is not sculpted in the way the Mk 2 boot seemed to be. Does anyone know if it is a straight swap? or is it typically more complicated that that? cheers
Yes it is! I wanted a spoiler on my Tuscan mk1, but didn't like the s spoiler, or the idea that once it's on- it's staying on. I bought a damaged mk2 bootlid and repaired it and its now sitting very pretty on my car looking fantastic! I will try post a pic(struggled previously) when I can.

They come in two sizes for the MK2
Well, that's what was available at the time! However looking at the above silver 's', I think the spoiler is a little bit too big and 'spoils' the clean flowing look of the rear end,(just my own personal taste).
As for stability performance, I haven't really put it to the test yet, I'm hoping along with my new front 's' splitter, all will be greatly improved.

my T2 bootlid is sitting about 1/2" proud, up from the body at the screen end... I can push it down to come flush with the body (ie doesn't snag on the windscreen) but it springs back up of course...
Did u have the same problem? Can I adjust the brackets to make the boodlid lower? I couldn't see any way to adjust them apart from the bolts that go into the body, but the brackets are already touching the horizontal piece of the body... Was suggested to put washers in between the bolts on the bracket arms, but they're rivets or wahtever, not bolts I could undo...
Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes : There is some adjustment available by adjusting the two bolts that go into the body. It's just a matter of playing around a few times to get it the best you can. I spent about a whole day adjusting all of the panels (Service Bonnet, Main Bonnet, Boot and Doors) to get everything aligned properly.

Before I painted my boot-lid I made sure it would fit the best I could get it to. I did shave a few m.m. of fibreglass from the mounting areas actually on the boot-lid itself. I also had to slot the holes where the brackets fit to the car, also giving a few more m.m. adjustment. The end result isn't perfect but its a lot better than Ive seen on many standard Tuscans.
Just remembered, I also split the brackets where they bolt together and placed spacers inbetween the surfaces. This also had the effect of lowering the lid into the actual lid hole,making it more flush.
Any more advice, just ask!
