The mirror is Peugeot item, not sure which model, but anything from the late 90's early 00's should fit. There are quite a few on ebay at the moment. I got one a couple of months back from there for £7 delivered. The well known TVR breakers were quoting £20 - £25!

Yeah I was thinking Peugeot too, I thought it was from a 205 but I can't really remember. Blimey.....I'm sure my new one from Racing Green wasn't more than £20!!Paul
Andy,
Yes there was a clip around the actual mirror that I had to remove and it was a right b
d! I had to squeeze in the ends to release it if I remember correctly and I nearly broke it so be careful! Mine was also a real git to slide into the actual slot on the windscreen as the windscreen rollbar was too close to get the mirror in. Did it eventually though after lots of swearing!

Graham - I saw that RG do a replacement. Did you have to remove the "clip" that was fixed to the screen to fit the new mirror or did it just slide into place on the existing mounting clip?

The mirror bracket, or 'boss', which is stuck to the screen (with a two part glue) is the same for 98% Pug and Renault cars and vans. In any case, the sxisting boss can be removed fairly easily to be replaced with a new boss if you want to change the whole assembly... but better leave this task to someone with experience.
If you're in the market for a mirror, the stem length and angle are fairly crucial, but, as with most french mirrors, they're all pretty much the same. Don't just limit your search to 206 and 309s...

All sorted now, replacement received from RG quick sharpish. The mounting plate fixed to the windscreen is fine - it was the plastic moulding on the mirror arm itself that was bust (methinks the daughter was playing around looking at herself in it and it came off so she forced it back on and snapped one of the clips)
Thanks guys,
Andy
