Sticking Throttle at Full

Hi Guys,
just a quick note.. maybe some of you remember I thought I had a snapped throttle cable. Well finally at the weekend I managed to get a few minutes to take a look at it.. (first time I took the bonnet off ever!).
Well low and behold bonnet off.. noticed some scary things more to that in a bit!!
1st things 1st; took of the airbox (Damn how does that normally come out?), took me a few minutes to get it out from under the wiper linkage!!
Top half off; filter off, now looking at a gaping hole in the side, looks like the rear bracket has broken the lower half seal.. (have to figure out what to do later)
Now removing the lower half.. nice and simple.. so now I am looking at the throttle cable linkage
how do you take that off; ok so I remove the 2 very rusty allen bolts from the throttles.
Now, the other end. try and squeeze into the footwell
, remove the 2 allen bolts at the bottom and the 2 at the top of the Aluminum pedal surround, (why does every text say there are only 2 bolts??) :-)
OK so I am now looking at 2 confusing things; cable fine!!
just popped out of the pedal linkage.. How did that happen?
So now back to the throttle linkage.. make sure movement is OK.. guess what.. Throttle bodies 4,5,6 stick at 3/4 open; (had noticed this a couple of times when driving on the Autobahn but always flciked back into place) so more or less all is clear, how the pedal end popped out.
Now use loads of WD40 to loosen the T/B's; things start slipping again, but I also noticed that 456 move at the sametime as they rotate, so it forces the linkage and maybe butterfly to touch the side of the body?? Anyone got any ideas what to do about this??
Put it all back together, furiating trying to put the pedal end on!!
However, car started again no problem after 5 weeks without use!!
