New Tuscan Owner : All my questions

Hi all
I purchased my dream Tuscan Mk1 about 3 months ago, a dream come true. It has been driven daily since I bought it, including a 1200mile weekend drive to Geneva and back. No real issues except leaving my lights on and having to call the AA to give me a jump...and running out of petrol!
It is coming to the point I would like to sort a few of the niggles I have with it so was looking for some advice on the following.
1) Where is a repuatable place for a service in London?
2) The fans appear to not be coming on anymore. I believe this could be an issue with the fuses but just wanted to know your thoughts. Water is heating up to 92-98 and oil is sitting above 90. Seems much hotter than previously and i cannot hear the fans on.
3) A small gap in the rear screen means some moisture gets in. Any such thing as an oversized screen or should i just get big sills.
4) I am intending on parking my trev underground and hope to use a trickle battery to ensure it starts up (possibly my usage will drop to a couple of times a week). What is the best type of trickle battery which does not require an external power source? Any thoughts.
Anyhow, appreciate any responses. Look forward to many more years in my Tuscan. And to the Tuscan owner who waved outside Knightsbridge station, I meant to flash my lights but was too slow to reach!!

Stick with the TVR Specialists when it comes to servicing. There's not many problems that they won't have seen previously on other cars, so they know where to look for problems, and it'll save on labour times as they won't spend a day trying to find where the problems might be.
The TVR Center (Now Trimar Sports Cars Ltd) would be my obvious choice. http://www.tvr-centre.co.uk/
Fan's could just be needing a new temprature sender unit, and quite a cheap fix.
As for the rear screen.........Yes, there is a larger version which was fitted on post 2003 cars and is available from most of the TVR Specialist (Racing Green, TVR Power etc, and relatively speaking not too expensive at £185 (including vat), and a straight swap for your original one. It's about 2mm - 3mm larger all around, and seals alot better. Luckily mine already had been upgraded and it doesn't leak. (Unless you use a jet washer on it.............LOL........I learned from my mistake).

Fans could be the temperature sensor, there are two one for the display and on for the ECU which controls the fans, the first one should start at 92 Deg the second 96 Deg although this can vary a couple of degrees. Could also be the relays/fuses which are under the dash on the drivers side.
I have used an Accumate for the past eight years+ on my Tuscans to keep the battery charged up. I connect this via the Anderson connector behind the N/S front wheel, alternatively this can be connected vis the lighter socket with the optional lead.

i had a similar problem with my t2- london tvr fixed it in half an hour. Apparently the fans were cutting in but the temp reading was incorrect because of a dodgy earth... Definitely see a specialist- you'll save on labour, another garage had already tried (and failed) twice to fix the problem. I'd get it checked out sooner rather than later though- if the engine really is overheating things could get nasty (and expensive)!

On a slightly more depressing note...British weather. Does anyone use the rain repellant on the side and rear windows? I am such poor visability at the moment and looking for a fix! Rain appears to just stick and hold right now.
