tyres out of shape

Been told that the vibrations I'm getting in the cabin of my Tuscan Mk2 are down to out of shape tyres. I've not used the car that much so it stands in my garage and would have been standing in the dealership network for some time before I bought it.

Am I looking at a bill for completely replacing all 4 or is there anything I can do.

I'm thinking that no matter what tyre is on the car they will go out of shape if I don't pump the pressures up to about 40psi when standing.

People who regularly take their car off the road during winter will have some good advice on how to prevent flat spotting. I ran mine as often as I could and also never left it on the same spot for more than a week (they're light enough for one to push them). I do remember seeing an advert for little wells (not sure how else to describe them!) designed to prevent this. They spread the weight of the car over a wider part of the tyre. Usually advertised in the back of classic car mags but fairly expensive from what I remember...although less than 4 new tyres!

Think you mean Flatstoppers They are a bit expensive though, I just make sure the tyres are up to pressure and move it around if it not used for a period of time.

I would get the wheels checked as well,Spiders can get flat spots quite easy with the pot holes we have on our stty roads !
