My neighbours are going to love me.

The Tuscan's been off the road for a month with a broken clutch and I've been guilty of only plugging in the trickle charger a couple of sunny afternoons (it's parked in the communal car park so people will trip over the lead trailing out my window).

Tonight, bang on 5 o'clock the alarm starts going off non-stop. My remote/key won't unlock it so I can't open the doors or the boot. Am I right in saying that the electrics go haywire when the battery's running out?

The alarm has finally stopped but the indicator lights are flashing (getting fainter by the minute).

The garage is closed, I know the AA don't have a clue after the last time and I need to go away tonight.

Probably a hopeless situation, I know, but if anyone has any tips it'll save me getting lynched by my neighbours when I get back tomorrow!

left the interior light on for a week. battery went flat(ish), the alarm didn't go off. sounds like some thing else is a miss....

if the battery is completely flat then there wont be enough juice to sound the alarm, so you shouldn't annoy the neighbours too much

Yeah, I wasn't sure if the alarm sounding was the car's final way of letting me know the battery's about to go. Not in the manual (which is stuck in the boot).

Alarm hasn't sounded in 45 mins now and the indicators are no longer flashing. I think it's all seized up and out of power now. God only knows how I get it to the garage now (it'll be Dreadnought in Callendar). Margarine, back window, me stuck halfway through... (didn't sound as dodgey when I was typing that there)

Sounds like the main car battery to me, the Meta alarm system on the modern TVRs have a voltage drop type system/back up, if the battery gets too low the alarm thinks someone is trying to mess with the car, plug in some jump leads under the car and connect to another battery source/car and the alarm will sort it`s self out, you might have to play with the fob but it will sort itself out.Then get a new battery on it ASAP,other wise you will be back to square one.
