I don't know the codes for EBC. I use Ferodo ds 2500 and get them from circuit supplies. The codes for them are Front, FRP3083H. Rear, FCP408H. Telephone: 01525 385 888. With regards to the shocks presuming they are the original Harvey Baily ones, get rid of them and go Nitron. Its by far the best enhancement for your money.

With the above you will be going round corners like your on rails and stopping on a tanner, smile

There was a lot of talk about brake pads somewhere on Pistonheads earlier in the year and I think these Ferodo's were very highly thought of for track use but seen as maybe a bit harsh on the disks for every day use?? Any research I've done on pads seems to suggest that any of the EBC stuff is to be avoided though - a triumph of marketing over performance???

Don't actually know what's in my Tuscan at the mo since I haven't had it long enough to need to change them. I've put pads by the US company, Porterfield, into my old 911 and they are absolutely superb on and off track. If they make them for a 2000 4.0 Tuscan then they'll be going in when the time comes.

What he said ref EBC - I was warned off them as they have poor heat/brake charactoristics.

I was told ferrodo - best but cost £££ and could eat disks (which may well be worth it to get decent braking)

Mintex - decent performance and not too expensive.

Second the Ferodo DS2500 motion. As for being harsh to discs, my DS3000s on the Saab worked their way through two sets of Brembo discs (but it was worth it) but no such problems with the DS2500s - am still running the 240 fronts on the Chimmy, put the Ferodos on one year/6,500 miles ago and got the told that the discs would easily last another year and 6,000 miles at the last MOT...

Try ringing Circuit Supplies. 01525 385 888. They're the disties for the DS2500 I believe. I rang them to get some rear ones for the Griff and they were very helpful

Just out of interest what did you get for your £97?

Also if ferodo eat brake discs....how much are brake discs and what are they off?
