My car came with carpet on the centre console around the gearstick and handbrake. I don't think this looks as good as cars that have this bit done in the leatherette material they use in the door inserts (not sure what it is called). Has anyone done the swap themselves? It doesn't look difficult as the carpet just seems to be stuck to a bit of glassfibre.

Also, does anyone know where you can get leatherette stuff in the original TVR colours - obviously I won't need much!

when i spec't mine i asked for that piece to be done in leather i felt it would be harder wearing and probably easier to match.
It is a seperate piece i dont think it would take more than a hour or two to replace just take the centre console off it should easy to remove

Sorry - I just edited my original post because I am thinking of the leatherette stuff they use on the door inserts (rather than Alcantara, which I understand is that suede like material).

Does any one know where you can get the original TVR colours from - I quite fancy a bit more of the purple you can see in the photo.

My car is in S&D (same place) on the 10th Jan..So if they need a template they can use mine.

You could also try Martin at Martrim, he is doing my carpets and seats and has just bought a load of old TVR stock. http://www.martrim.co.uk/

Hi S6

Hope you dont mind me asking, but what are you having re carpeted... the whole car or just some of it?

and also how much is it costing you for this as I have no idea!

Cheers
