Fuel pressure Reg valve????
Discussion
Is it possible to adjust the fuel pressure via the reg valve on the front end of the fuel rail, Just want see if I can change the frequency of misfire issue as everything else is to spec according to diag s/w.
Don't seem write that the reg valve vacuum pipe just sits in the airbox and that the drilling through the airbox is not airtight, On other engines vacuum pipe is normally plumb straight into the inlet manifold so that max suction pressure is obtained.

the reg valve is non adjustable if you suspect poor fuel pressure you need have a pressure gauge fitted to rail and take readings running and residual, Don't seem write that the reg valve vacuum pipe just sits in the airbox and that the drilling through the airbox is not airtight, On other engines vacuum pipe is normally plumb straight into the inlet manifold so that max suction pressure is obtained.
the fuel reg vac pipe is not needed it was only put into air box becouse a few were blocked off by mechanics thinking as there was no pipe fitted there must be a blanking off fitting missing, blocking it off WILL cause problems to youre running.
the diagnostic software can only lead you in the right direction of an engine missfire, most of the time its down to the skill of the mechanic to trace these faults.

Engine has misfire 8 out 10 times underload.
Can rig up a guage no probs, have you any idea what pressure I should see,
In the last 5 days since buying the car have read the diagnostic manual 3 times and ran approx 15 traces, monitored error codes and reset adaptive, throttle pots and cleared any possible stored codes. As per the suggested values given in manual all is to spec except AFR 123 BAD occationally comes up. If Sebring was open I have the car in for diagnostics.
Thanks

cant remember readings off hand have them on file in workshop but wont be back in till monday ............. something like 48psi residual 56psi running but dont quote me on this. Can rig up a guage no probs, have you any idea what pressure I should see,
