Not quite a newbie but a belated hi for the New Year.......
Discussion
Although I bought the car at the beginning of August I only got back out of it mid December (after racking up most of my annual mileage allowance in the first 2 months
) so thought it was time to formally say hi in case we pass on the road !
Upgraded from a Chimaera (4.3) to my new P&J, a 2004 Tuscan S (4.0) in Nebula Dusk, which had only one owner and 5k on the clock. An impulse buy (it needed rescuing and using), now on 9k and all seems sweet.
Just 2 questions: Where does the weight loss come from compared to the standard Tuscan ? Handbook reckons it is about 30kg lighter (until I get in).
Also, can someone send me the 'secret' entry method for flat battery ? Not risked driving it since boxing day due to ice & fog, so may need to know soon
.
Anyway, a few photo's below. Hope to see more Tivs around the Northwest this year !

Thanks. It's a more subtle colour change than the reflex / chameleon paints, and only goes green in direct sunlight - but at night under street neons it turns into a gay disco glitterball !
Not seen another Tuscan (apart from meets) since getting it though - despite 4000 miles across the country - Northwest, Wales, Yorkshire, Lake District etc. Only seen the odd Chim and one Cerb. Where is everyone ?

It does seem a bit sparse out there lately but the bad/cold/icy weather is going to cause a lot of people to keep the Tiv at home I guess. I use mine whenever I can but it breaks my heart when just an hour driving in this weather covers it in horrible salt and muck from the roads......I'm glad I got the underside cleaned and waxoyled a couple of weeks ago though!

Thanks. I changed the the tail pipes from standard (with carbon fibre effect) to Carbon Can Company (plain stainless steel) - confusing !
After a 4.3 V8, the exhaust note just wasn't good enough. Still miss that lovely V8 burble but the evil rasp and various pops & bangs now make up for it !
