Are Any Tuscans Selling?

I've been looking for a Tuscan since the last November.
Prices continue to remain firm, but I can't see much eveidence of cars selling. Maybe the odd one but thats all.
I've looked on loads of other sites sites. One has 20 cars currently for sale. Last time one was sold from the site was 15th October 2008!
Will prices begin to soften anytime soon do we think?

Private sellers aren't going to give away their pride and joy. I have just put mine up for sale but if I have to wait six months to get one serious enquiry so be it. There is a big gap between the good ones and the bad ones... There's currently more interest from European buyers than UK because of the weakness in the pound.
Pretty much the same as the T350 - when I was looking many for sale back then are still for sale now (both dealer and private) at very similar prices.
I do agree with the previous poster regarding not letting them go too cheaply so would rather hold on to them.
This is always a very slow time of year and hopefully the market will pick up a little come summer - they are selling at the moment albeit very slowly. Just far too few buyers out there at present.

Couldn't agree more. I went through god knows how many choices once I sold my Chim but kept coming back to TVR. Looked at a Z4M coupe, SLK 350, Corvette, Cayman S to name but a few. However, despite the fact they all drove well, handled well, were more reliable I just couldn't see myself in another make of car. The Z4Mc was my close 2nd choice but I knew I'd be bored within a couple of weeks.nistock said:
Yes, they are selling. I just changed my 2005 Tamora today for a 2006 Tuscan convertible, with only 3400 miles on it. This will be my third Tvr, the first being a 4.5 Chimaera. It really is hard to consider anything else after you have caught the Tvr bug!
Any chance of some details for the Convertible Register (please) ???
Unfortunately going away on holiday next week so having to wait to pick it up!!! 
Mine has been up for sale for less than a week and despite being priced attractively, I have only heard from a couple interested parties. I would have thought I'd have had a higher level of interest than that, but maybe it's because I rate the car higher than people who haven't owned one, or I just haven't given it enough time yet.
If I end up only getting cheeky prices from people, I'll be happily holding on to it.

If it's any help it took me 2 months to sell the Chimaera. I had a couple of stupid offers from people with the cheek to tell me the market is cr4p and it's all I'll get etc.If I end up only getting cheeky prices from people, I'll be happily holding on to it.
I held out and sold pretty much for asking price as I knew just how good mine was compared to other cheaper ones on the market.
Really got on my wick when potential purchasers would say I'll offer silly 'x' as 2 they'd seen down the road are similar age but 2k cheaper. I just turned round and told them to go and buy them instead to which they'd then reel out a long list of faults/reasons for not doing so. FFS! Theres a reason good cars and bad cars have different prices but some people seem to think the price of a dog should dictate the whole market.
Hang in there and give it time - it's a very slow market at the moment so as long as you're not desperate to sell just wait it out.

The BMW z4mc is a good 2nd to the tuscan, i baught a 07reg Z4MC b4 ,as ive only driven the tuscen twice,did 10 miles in the z car before the girlfriend took it off me and lumbered me with her 06 slk,(girlfriend wont drive the tuscan the daughter is oposite} girlfriend wants a slk 55 as she loves the slk roof
I was realy happy as it gave me the reason to buy myself a rip rawing modified v12 6 litre aston vanquish.so
the 06 slk will go as will
the 07 tuscan s, (closly followed by the Z car )
if the price is right (slk 55 or bently continental gt wanted/taken in px )

Personally : I think it's a good thing that owners aren't dropping their prices, unlike most cars/brands for sale.
I used to own an M5 BMW and sold it just under a year ago to buy the Tuscan. I've since watched the M5 market plummet to an all time low. Luckily the Tuscan market (Infact most of the TVR market)..... Owners have stuck to their guns and the prices don't appear to have dropped at all in the last year.
We have to remember that we have the advantage of having a supercar, that's affordably priced, and there are no more available. Once they're gone.......thats it.
Good to see we're sticking to our guns and maintaining the value on our cars.

YEP THEY ONLY DROP IN PRICE IF YOU LET THEM
I have one of the last never been any where is for sale if the right money is offered (not expensive)
but will sit there if not,because in time they will become rare and go up in value,as more blow up or get crashed.its not as if they rot (much) another good reason to wax oil your chassis

From what I understand after talking to a few dealers - the cars that are going cheaply are the ones with either problems, sketchy history or if the owner is desparate to sell. All subjective of course but it seems to add up.
Just as well really as I'm putting mine up for sale in a week or two!
