HELP !!!!!! Clutch and Slave Cylinder
Discussion
Can anyone give me an idea what I should be paying in parts for a new clutch and slave cylinder , and anywhere you would recommend I contact to buy them.
Just been told I need to replace the clutch out here in Japan - and with GBP falling out of bed like it has recently the quote is the equivalent of ....wait for it
......
5 grand !!!!
A new clutch is close to 2 grand and the slave cylinder about 750 quid.
Obviously I have told them I will source my own parts from the UK.
Still going to be close to 2 grand in labour!
Any advice , recommendations greatly appreciated.

No Mark - you are spot on, that is why I want to import the parts myself.
The dealer over here will have imported them when the pound was much stronger - hence he has them priced way up.
Any suggestions as to where I should go looking?
Mate, how much are you really gonna save importing it yourself? a little squeeky perhaps at the moment could cost you a shed load of grief, get yourself down to a dealer. The dealer over here will have imported them when the pound was much stronger - hence he has them priced way up.

Dropping the box and fitting the clutch is a basic job any garage or diyer who has done a rear wheel drive clutch can do, THERE NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.so dont get ripped off by the dealer,
price on his clutch you can nealy buy a tuscan for that in the uk now.makes 1 wonder how mutch one is in Russia
hope your sorted quickly and cheaply

Cheers M3coupe - have emailed the companies you noted.
Shapeshifter - most definitely the dealer is going to fit it etc but if I can get the parts at a 1/3 of the cost by getting some one to ship them over here that has to make sense!
Sorry mate, didn't read your post properly, didn't realise you were over seas, now I understand. Shapeshifter - most definitely the dealer is going to fit it etc but if I can get the parts at a 1/3 of the cost by getting some one to ship them over here that has to make sense!
