Got a new battery fitted in the Tuscan last year, I keep the car on trickle charge all the time in the garage, went to start the car today and its stone dead, could the battery be faulty already?
Update, jumped the car and gave it a good drive round the M25 to charge the battery, stopped the car tried to re-start and still stone dead, turns out the battery needs replacing, only one year old!

The battery I got for my last car failed within 2 months, lugged it back to halfords and they replaced it there and then. Turned out one of the cells was shot.
