Hi guys

I am tempted to pick up a pair of decats as they seem to be a hell of a lot cheaper than replacement cats. Can these be fitted on your drive? I am thinking of putting the passanger side up on axle stands and doing it that way. Any thoughts?

You really need to get the car in the air. Pipes off from cats back 5 mins, remove cats & fit new ones 5 mins, replace pipes with copper slip on the cats for extra ease on 10 min max....if the wife is handy to hold the back whilst you guide the front on. Job Done!! take her for a drive and listen to the pops 'n bangs beer

Hmm - if the pipes come apart realtively easily, then it's not too difficult.

In the air is better though as you're movement is really restricted when using axle stands.

But, the noise.......especially with carbon cans...... is truely superb!!! smile

I was told this is a nause of a job - is it really that easy?

Good to know in case MOT is a problem.

I reckon I can get access to a ramp as well!

Is there a bluffers guide anywhere or is it obvious!?

My mot with fernies last year ended up costing me £500 with swapping out decats and replacing with cats then back out again after frown
