im looking at getting a second hand 4ltr sp6 and rebuilding it before buying a tuscan, does the 4 ltr fit all tuscans?

if i buy a 3.6 tuscan will everything swap over?

are the manifolds different?

I'm not too sure if they are all the same due to never having done it but can't see a reason why.

Question really is why are you buying an engine for a car you don't own that is knackered so you have to repair it?

Personaaly i would put the cost of buying and rebuilding the engine into getting a newer car or one thtas already had a recent rebuild.

well, after reading the posts on here about tuscans catching on fire, and the p*ss poor build, im gonna have to rebuild the car as soon as i get it, and as the engines seem to be so sketchy, if i build one myself i know its been done properly.

seems silly to buy a 3.6 and rebuild it if a 4 can go in. dont get me wrong, if a good un turns up for the right money......

If they are so st why bother at all? If your going to get a TVR your going to have to accept, that what might be held in place on a BMW with a nice intricate clip, actually just has a blob of silcone or spay glue holding it in place. Also have you researched how many tuscans or other SP6's have had a full engine failure in the last year? probably not anywhere near the number you think.

A 3.6 is a 4.0 on the outside. So is a 4.2 or 4.3. Maybe a 4.5 even.
