folks

Has my key got a battery in it and would this explain why after about 8 years I can only turn my alarm on and off intermitently and then only whilst I am walking around my car waving the key at differnet bits of it ?

If there is a battery in the key, is it easy enough to change ?

Thanks in advance

Yes there actually two batteries in the key, I can't remember the type though.

It could be that the switches in the key fob are on their way out. If this is the case, order a spare because if you end up with none of the keys working you will have to have them re-programmed.

I only got 1 key with mine as the previous owner couldn't find the spare. I'm guessing I can get another from TVR Car Parts or someone similar but how do they programme it? Is it with the key code in the owners manual? And are they expensive?
