Re-spray in different colour..how difficult and how much?

Having had a couple of quotes to remove the small chips and scrapes in my paint I'm annoyed at how quick they all add up - not far off a respray for a perfect finish.
Out of interest if I were to consider a full respray how different in difficulty and cost is it to have a colour change?
As a benchmark I have had quote of £2k for same colour respray.
Would be looking at going darker (presently antique turquiose - would be looking for black or pearl black with something else (red?)

If you don't like chips and scratches you'll definately not like dark colours. I had a Tuscan in moonraker black and it was a bOut of interest if I were to consider a full respray how different in difficulty and cost is it to have a colour change?

h to keep looking good. Lots of hard work to keep it polished.Don't mind polishing but chips are a pain.
Would probably splash out for armorfend style stuff if I got new paint.
Reality is that paint will always chip so I am considering getting a best effort on the current paint and just enjoy it and stop worrying about it.
I do love some of the dark pearl paint jobs though
