Squeaky Rear window??

Whats the best way to cure this issue, Has anybody tried keying up the touching edge of the plastic with a bit of wet and dry or does Talcum powder fix for a little while.
Noticed that when the car is washed then it does not squeak for a hour or two so Im gonna put some baby oil on it and see how long it lasts

I use a silicon spray lubricant you can pick up in Halfords. Does the job and keeps things quiet for a couple of months before re-spraying is required again.

I use a silicon based lubricant as it doesn't rot the rubber seal.

Thanks chaps will give a go, Just tried the baby oil, its a bit quieter but I recon it'll only last a couple of hours. I have a 500 mile round trip on sunday and I know its gonna drive me nuts if I don't sort it. Can't bare the thought of having the radio to drown the sqeak same time the engine is running coz it just aint wright.

I stuck a velcro strip along the top of the window as suggested by Racing Green, works a treat. Couple of quid from B&Q

1/Lubricate the seal with with Halfords rubber and nylon lubricant.

2/Fit a 10mm strip of Velcro of anti-squeak tape on the upper edge of the screen.

3/Fit the Raceproved screen clips, this will prevent the lower part of the screen rubbing on the boot lid, as the O/E plastic clips bend with age/use.

I just smeared a bit of household vasoline on mine and it went away instantly.

Tried Vaseline a few weeks ago but the squeak came back a couple of days later

Gonna go to Halfords and get some Silicon lube and velcro
