shagged battery or electrical fault - any guesses!

Sun came out so I thought it was time to take Tuscan out for a spin. Normally its on a trickle charger while in the garage but had forgotten to switch it on - has been about 3 weeks since last fired up. Anyway, not enough power to open doors and had thankfully left the roof off so could open them using the pulleys. However, the two buttons on the centre console for opening the windows and doors have a wee LED light on them which is now flashing like crazy and dont work (windows are down and wont come back up! - on turning the ignition nothing happens but dashboard reads 'malfunction code E'

I thought this was all simply being caused by a flat battery but switching on the trickle charger for a few hours hasnt seemed to help this time. LEDS on door buttons flashing and clicking like crazy, windows not going up, no power to turn ignition and doors still not opening

does this sound like a knacked battery or something more sinister!

reluctant to get the AA out without at least trying to fix it first

anyone know what a malfunction code E means!

As you will see from the thread above I had a similar problem, tried to start last night but no luck, left it on to charge overnight and this morning it started first time and the faults showing on the screen disappeared when I pushed the Right hand screen button, so far they have not returned. I am hoping the accumate will keep be able to re-condition the battery over a few days.

try disconecting the battery for 60 secs then reconect sometimes when battery goes fiat it confuses the ecu

Same thing happened to me recently...

You may find that due to the deep discharge of the battery that at some point in the not too distant future the battery will fail. Mine was OK on volts, but could not produce the cranking amps.

So be prepared and make sure you have some jump leads handy!
