Tuscan seat belt help.....please.
Discussion
Incredibly my 2000 Tuscan just flew through its MOT and whilst 'testing' my new clutch on a run yesterday the seat belt jammed. Won't wind in, won't wind out, took it outta the car and it is truly broken. Probably an over eager MOT tester yankin on it.
BIG question is, does anybody know whether the seat belt is 'lifted' from a more common car? I can't believe it was a TVR bespoke part.
Any help/guidance would be much appreciated.

Same thing happened to mine, but managed to fix it, I found a breaker on ebay for one. He wanted £30, his number is 07886 097954, I dont need it and sure he still has it. Hi Tuscan Al, yep, solved the riddle, not the answer I was hoping for though. It actually is a bespoke seatbelt. Bell Hill told me that they have a policy not to sell 2nd hand belts as most come from crashed damaged cars. After reflection, given the lack of any other saftey restraint or air bag it struck me as a good policy.
Lond and short of it is that you gotta go for a new one. I'm getting mine from TVR Power as the only other seller I could find was Racing Green and Power look after the car for me. Dead easy job to replace just not the cheapest at £130 notes when my mate just swapped both out on his MR2 for £50.
Still, rather be strapped in properly than not.

No not really what I want to hear, and im sure a breakers will have one for me. But I would be ver surprised if it was bespoke, they look rather like lots on ebay I have seen. And the way the passenger one lock up all the time, which is a fault with all cars, because TVR mounted them at a bad angle. Now if they were bespoke I would have thought they would have got the bracket made at the right angle. Search continues. But thanks for the info.
