Thinking about changing the colour...... ?

I have a 2000 year MK1 Tuscan in Chameleon Blue, being nearly 9 years old the paintwork has a few scratches and water has got under the paint on the passenger sill causing it to bubble and blister.

The chameleon paint is really expensive so I was thinking about either having the affected areas resprayed in the current colour or for not a lot more (in terms of cost) changing the colour completely to WHITE.

I have only seen one other white Tuscan and it looked fantastic. My interior is black leather and black carpets so would go well with a white exterior. I would need to change the wheel colour to anthracite as well!

What do you all think? Will the white look dated after a few years or should I stick with the Swordfish????

Just interested - have you found someone whom can match the Chameleon Blue paint locally? What sort of cost?

I think white would look great, it appears to be coming back in fashion as well!

White certainly is popular at the moment, but given the rarity of that colour on Tuscans I don't you need to worry to much about automotive fashion.

Might be worth considering a pearlescent white, rather than just solid white. The curves on a Tusc would suit the refractive nature of that kind of paint.

Pharoah, I used Racing Green last time who resprayed the front inspection cover and the roof a year or so ago, they did a good job but the paint costs something like £500 a litre. Thats why I am exploring all my options including the possibility of a full respray in a different colour through one of the bodyshops discussed on these forums.
