Hyundai Tucson
Discussion
Last year they tried to name the Coupe as the Tuscany or something similar. The name appeared to be dropped shortly after.
Now...
Even in the press release it's been misspelled as Tuscon in places

Continuing the tradition of Southwestern themed names for its sport utility vehicles, Hyundai Motor America's new small SUV will be called Tucson, company President and CEO Robert "Bob" Cosmai announced today. The Tucson will go on sale in the United States in the fall of 2004.

There's a Hyundai "Tuscani" in one of our car parks at Cowley, found it jolly offensive so I took the Tuscan in and parked it alongside
.
I'm over there this afternoon, and have my camera with me, so I'll try to get a picture put up so the world can see a really horrible full body-kitted piece of red plastic cr@p. I'm guess it isn't the standard production model....should be later on if possible.

The bloke who owns the Hyundai probabley thinks your car is fabuluous and would probably own a Tuscan if he had the choice,so why slag his car off.Think yourself lucky you can afford the Tuscan.
Alternativley, the bloke who owns the Hyundai tuscuson whatever, probably thinks the TVR Tuscan owner is a child-murdering speedster and criminal, and why would anyone NEED a Tuscan.
Afterall it has only two seats, nowhere for the kids, and why does any car NEED to do over 70mph. Thats the speed limit afterall.
No doubt Mr Hyundai tousconsucan driver is already writing a letter to his local micro-issue council officer to complain about the offensive nature of the Tuscan and suggesting a 'sports' tax on similar models.

Heard of cars having chips but never owners!Point was just because we are lucky enough to own nice cars it does'nt give us the right take the

Yep - been there, done that and drove my dad's Freelander. Which was free.
Some people just don't "get" sports cars, or even buying a car to do anything other than get you from A to B for the cheapest outlay. I'd guess that most Hyundai owners would fit into this category rather than aspiring sports car owners who can't afford an expensive car.

I think its quite alright to buy whatever car you wish.
For example the Hyandai owner may have wanted something new with A/C and power everything that was fairly economical, quiet and comfortable for the family. He/She probably isnt interested in speed or power, which isn't a bad thing anyway.
Each to their own, there is a reason for everything.
I own a VW Golf TDi and an XR3i thats worth about £300.
Everyone can slag them off but I have valid reasons for owning both.
Not everyone wants a RWD fast car, some people really do just want to get from A-B. Lets not knock em.

The reason I found it offensive was that it looked like a really bad max power effort, with bolt on bits all over the place....wouldn't have made any difference had it not been called a Tuscani....it is still a really gross vehicle.
Everyone's got a right to their opinion of what they consider a pleasant looking car and an unpleasant looking car....this is my opinion. I thought it was max-power, and hated it.....that's all. This may not however, be the same car that was mentioned at the start of this thread, which was Tuscany or Tuscana or whatever.
Just got back from meeting in Oxford and it wasn't there....unfortunately.
LB (not wishing to come across as too arrogant - and fully aware of how lucky I am to own my car, or perhaps its just hard work)

Hmmnn....appears to me as though this muppet is looking for a reaction.....and he's got it....rather like trolling... except on the public highway?
