Radiator

Found a small puddle of water on the garage floor and saw some water dripping from the car, I guess the radiator is leaking. Is it expensive to fixed? Just had a 12K services a month ago and surprised no one spotted it...any advices?

could just be a hose in which case not much to fix. If its the Rad then they are around the £375 mark and can be fitted in an afternoon if you have the garage space.

Thanks Dave, phew at least it doesn't sound like it is going to cost an arm and a leg. Forgot to mentioned that I did take her out for a short spin on Sunday, and I have been keeping my eyes on the water temperature, it does seem quite stable. At least it didn't shoot up to 120 degree. I hope it is the hose.

Is your coolant low ?
Is the water coming from the front nearside ?
It could be the pipe connection to your screen washer tank

just had mine replaced. Apparently the ones fitted at the factory were crap on the later models.

It comes from off side at the front.

Before spending a pile of cash on a replacement radiator, try and get the old one fixed. They have a tendancy to open-up where the plastic end caps are crimped onto the alloy core. They often just need resealing which stops the leak.

Take it along to a local radiator specialist and see if they can repair it before shelling out £350+. A repair with presure test will cost a fraction of the cost of new and it isn't rocket science to remove and refit

I've been told to bin the plastic factory one and install an aluminium one, the heat exchange is far better.

removed mine took it to a place in beckenham had the copper and brass replacement cost £130
