Dear all,

Probably third time lucky after replacing the faulty LCD, then the speedo transducer I now have a new pod related problem in that the needle has stuck at 70mph and I have a diagnostic code A - Speedo sensor not activating zero switchsensor. The digital display is working so I do know the speed of the car (vast improvement in comparison to when the old LCD was dropping lines - its all relative when you own a TVR!). Has anybody had this problem? Is it a pod related issue or a sensor somewhere else on the car? Thoughts welcomed.

Thanks

Have you tried giving it a gentle wack? Both speedos run off the same sensor so would be 99.9% sue its a fault with the actually annologue speedo, make sure the needle is not pushed on to far and is touching the speedo face.

Yes sometimes when the needles sweep (I have a T-Car) the speedo does not rest on zero. I found the ribbon cable connected to the pod was kinked and not fully located. I re-routed the cable and inserted it fully, its been fine since. The zero sensor is as its name suggests it sets the speedo to zero so its runs in calibration.
