Looking for a Tuscan and have seen this one....it is on the top end of my budget, so am hoping to know a bit off.

I want a black one, but am very tempted by this one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/X-00-TVR-TUSCAN-4-0-SPEED-SI...

Only reservation is, its been for sale for AGES! At that price I am suprised that nobody has snapped it up - it looks absolutely stunning!

Has anyone ever looked at this car before?

looks very nice but anyone can make a car look clean and tidy, it might need a total rebuild and could look a right nightmare underneath the beautiful cover smile so 15k might end up being 20-25k biggrin

My thoughts exactly - I left a message for the seller asking about rebuild and chassis condition...no reply.

I think that says it all

Its a dealership that often has Italian and German exotica in stock. Maybe worth another call if you're interested??

It isn't cheap...but that is a very desirable colour as its the exact one from Swordfish.
Plus, it probably needs rebuilding.

They dont' answer the phone or contact you back if you fill in an enquiry form!

No wonder it hasn't sold. I emailed them a week ago.

I really want a black one though.

What colour is yours?

Its a nice colour agreed but IMHO the Swordfish link adds nothing to the value or desirability as its all personal taste and there are plenty of very nice (and in my personal opinion nicer boxedin ) colours around. Mine is reflex purple and for ME thats the one to have. Yes 37k is on the higher side, but they dont ALL need rebuilding and a lot are going strong way beyond that.

Then again if they didnt get back to you it doesnt matter if its cheap or expensive, they wont sell it laugh

i asked about this one, asked if it had had a rebuild, and they told me they had taken a deposit on it, rather than answering the quesion.

Be careful thsts all i will say cause to me that doesnt add up....it was three weeks ago they told me they had taken a deposit. If it didnt sell why not come back to me? I'd say that indicates that it hasnt been rebuilt...and personally i think that makes is worth around £11k at best.

I also think that the colour scheme of the interior is not to everyones taste!!
If it was black or grey but the purple/ blue and green doesn't look that great in my opinion.

£12K at best...

I think its a nice combination personally, but I viewed 2 Tuscans at non TVR dealers and got warning bells from both. The sales reps knew nothing about them and cared even less. Just a trade in to them so they could flog a new car. Both had paid out a high price (on the trade-in) which the seller obviously couldn't get privately. Then they wanted to add a couple of grand for just valeting it and displaying on their forecourt. Doubt their 'warranty' would have covered anything major.

I would trust a private seller who has owned & lived with the car more than one of these dealers. At least you can get an idea of how it has been treated and driven in the past.
