Mk2 with flashing green/red door locks

My MK2 has had the door sensors and dashboard ECU replaced to cure problems with the LCD screen flashing.
On the green/amber/red "notification circle" I get a very dull green in the morning, i.e. the passenger side is much brighter. It eventually changes to full brightness before going to amber. Then on the road I'm occasionally getting red. I've had one situation where I had to use the emergency door handle to get out.
Wondering if this is more likely to just be door sensor related and if so easy enough to obtain and replace myself?

One thing that can happen is the plastic light surround slips down. Leaving a gap around the buttons, Paul Smith (TVR) told me that it can cause faults.
Also the secrets of the RED light was explained to me... apparantly it's a notification of a "stall" condition...the Window ECU counts the number of pulses/cog movements and remembers the count. If after a window operation it counts more than it has in memory it flags a "stall" by flashing red and after a few seconds turns off the GREEN lights on the window buttons, which will remain off until the door opens.
You can test this operation quite easily....sit in your car and send the window up on the button, keep your finger on the up button after the window is at the top, after a few secs the centre light will start to flash RED... well it does on mine.
PS I've let Paul have a copy of Phil Tudhopes guide and he's agreed to ammend/add detail since we never got aa owners handbook....My be TVR will adopt Phils as the official "TVR handbook"
