Wooo hooo, finaly found one i like! Had it inspected by Austec on sat, two hours and a compression test later they said this 'err we could only find that it needs new back brake pads in a 1000 miles or so'. The chassis was in real good nick, as was everything else. They took it for a spin and said it drives really nice. It needs a bit of paint work done, and a little bit of tidying up inside, but apart from that its really good.

So real reason for this post is....MODS!!

I've got about 5k free to upgrade bits and bobs, and sort out the paint work.

Its off to Option one for the paint 500-700 quid. This leaves me about 4-4.5k to upgrade stuff....

What mods would you recomend?

so far im going to do:

1. Gaz golds
2. Anthracite spiders
3. flip screen satnav/stereo
4. HID lights (although i have no idea where to get these done, nor how much they cost. Any input would be great?)
5. Austec remap
6. replace and re-route fuel lines
7. raceproved pre oiler cam cover
8. ****YOUR INPUT HERE IS REQUESTED!!*** :-)

Will post pics on Wed.

Is it a MKI? S or not?
I would say in order of importance:
1. good geo setup and new dampers and springs
2. S brakes
3. front and rear spoiler
4. anthracites, paintwork
5. remap (if necessary, Paul will know)

I know the feeling well...the night before you will get maybe 3 hours sleep if you were like me!! (picked it up two weeks ago)

In order of importance, raceproved camcover would be top of my list, then shocks, the rest are kind of 'as and when' type things...

8/Carbonfibre airbox.

9/NTEL Decat pipes.

10/Raceproved/CT metal rear screen clips.

11/S & D lifting bonnet.

Forget the fancy stero/sat nav as you will spend most of the time listening to the glorous sound of the Speed Six engine smile

i agree about the engine note. gonna be taking in around Italy in a month or so, and fancy a half decent sized sat nav screen for the trip. Also would be nice to have an ipod connection. Might just get a head unit with ipod connectivity and a decent stick on satnav. But i get your point!
