Last night I had both side windows on the driver's side smashed. Hopefully, there isn't any other damage (I haven't removed the glass from the seat yet) but pi55ed of nonetheless.

Does anyone know whether I can just go through the insurance company and use someone that comes out or do I have to actually take it into a TVR dealer for repair? I don't know how easy it is to source the little triangular window next to the door window?

Thanks for any advice.

Utter scum.

You have my sympathies.

I would have thought TVR would be the only people to supply the glass...

I had my side window put through and the radio stolen. Contacted the nominated window repirer who quoted 5 days! Drove straight to Blackpool and got it done while I waited. Mind you I live in Manchester..

Any idea on the cost (as I have a £500 excess)?

Bd's!

Just a suggestion, have you checked your insurance policy document? I have a £350 xs on my policy but it is only £100 for windscreens/glass.

Sorry to hear this Nick - these people are utter scum.

I don't think you'll need to go to a dealer, but it might be worth calling them anyway to see what glass specialist they recommend. I've been waiting for my dealer to remove and refit one of the small windows to re-stick a bit of trim that has come unstuck, and they've told me that they wouldn't do it themselves, and would sub-contract it out to their auto glass specialist.

Yes, £500 excess on glass as well.
Racing Green have quoted in the region of £350 to be done tomorrow so I'll go with that.

Apparently, someone in the block of flats in which I live disturbed them and they came at him with a screwdriver. They did 3 other cars as well. We do have CCTV cameras in the car park (which is supposedly secure with swipe card access) and the police have the tapes but I can't help but be sceptical about any positive outcome.

Thanks for all the positive replies.

Had my passenger window smashed on my Tuscan 4 weeks ago by some w****r. Cornhill said it had to go through Autoglass. The window was purchased from Blackpool that took 10 days they tried to put it in could only get the window up half way then gave up. They contacted Cornhill told them they hadn,t the expertise to complete the job. Took it to TMS Melton Mowbrey this week and can collect it tomorrow all finished. Can't waite. Check out you insurance as my excess is different on vandals and broken glass.

Collected it yesterday, £240, would have been less if they hadn't had to undo the mess Autoglass had made. Thanks TMS. Its great to have her back.

I picked her up on Sunday morning - £360 (for drivers side window and quarterlight) and wheel balancing.

Top service from Racing Green who I'd never used before.
